Men’s Ministry

Men at FCCL are very active in the life of the church and believe in the need to lead by example. We are committed to holding each other accountable to these high Biblical standards and achieve this through consistent and intentional meeting and fellowship with one another. Listed below are just a few of the ways we try to accomplish this.

From January through May, we have a Men’s Devotion/Luncheon on a designated Sunday after the service (usually, the third Sunday of the month). We break for the summer and resume in August through October. The devotion and lunch are free.

Below are some examples of Men’s ministry activities:

Shooting at the Kingsbury Gun Range
Hosting a Chicago Bears Tailgate
Chili Cook-off
Bags tournaments
Bowling outings
Helping church shut-ins/the elderly
Local Men’s Conference – Iron Sharpens Iron
Attending Local Christian Concerts

Men’s Devotional Lunch Dates can be found on the Church Calendar.

All men are encouraged to participate in these events, which in many cases are either free or have minimal cost. The participation and fellowship leads to deeper relationships that help us to encourage and pray for one another.

We also feel community outreach is an important function of the ministry.
